Mary Arline Jordan, 82,  Of  Prospect
PROSPECT, Jan. 23 - Mary Arline Jordan, 82, of Prospect, died Thursday, January 18, 2007 at her home in Prospect.
She was the third of 14 children born to the late Levitt and Elnora Perkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Henry Jordan; brother, Clarence Perkins; and sister, Fannie Scruggs.
Arline remained a faithful member of Sulphur Spring Baptist Church until her passing. She is survived by her eight children: Henry (Mattie). Louise (Isaac) Welton; Cleveland; Queen (Larry) Lyttle; Mae (Lloyd) Jackson; Chester (Sarah); James; Charles Jordan Jr.; eight sisters: Rosa Hartman; Lucy Bland; Corine (Charles) Bland; Louise Scott; Edith James; Pauline (Browlee) Hailstock; Jannia Jones; Nannie (George) Jones; three brothers: Earl Perkins; Tommy (Debra) Perkins; Lawrence (Louise) Perkins; one aunt: Pearl Tyler; one uncle: John Jones; 37 grandchildren; 64 great grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, January 24 at 1 p.m. at Sulphur Spring Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.
